Re: Calcium/safety of milk. Anyone here drink a lot of milk & have good health?
You could probably read "bad" things about almost every food out there nowadays. Milk is a wonderful thing and if you are worried about hormones and things that are given to the cows, try Horizon Organic Milk (or any other brand). The cows are fed natural grains and the milk is as pure as you can get. If it's the lactose you're worried about, you could try Lactaid or Dairy Ease...both of those have lactase (the enzyme that breaks down lactose) added to them to help with digestion. No matter what you do, don't give up milk completely. Also, there are tons of dairy products other than milk that contain just as much calcium. Cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese...all of those are great sources of calcium. I don't drink that much milk regularly, but I eat a LOT of cottage cheese! It does the trick!
