    Yesterday (Thursday, May 26, 2005)

    Breakfast
    2 Nectarines
    1 1/2 cup Activia Yogurt

    Lunch
    From the caf in the hospital:
    Veggie Wrap (Wholewheat wrap, leaf lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber, cheddar cheese, mustard)
    1 cup Chicken and Rice Soup
    Ice cream sandwich (Have been craving ice cream for a week!)

    Supper
    1 8 oz. dealcolized red wine
    50g salmon in peppercorn sauce
    1/2 cup basmati rice
    1/2 cup frozen veggies (yellow and green beans and baby carrots)

    Snack
    While watching Team America with my bf - ~1.5 cups popcorn + 1 can Perrier

    Where do you get that Activia Yogurt btw? You said it has a lot of the friendly bacteria. I think your a health professional(you said in another post about a diabetic patient, I THINK) and wanted to know if Kefir is better or just as good as yogurt. what do you think.

    I buy Activia yogurt at the grocery store. I love the taste of it, especially the prune flavor. It is a bit higher in fat - 3% M.F, but I just love it and it guarantees 1 billion active bacteria (Bifidobacterium lactis) per serving which is what is recommended per day.

    I don't know a ton about Kefir. Both yogurt and kefir are cultured milk products, and offer probiotic benefits. I have read support from both sides. Some people say yogurt (specifically yogurts which have various types of bacteria) is best, some think Kefir is best. Personally I just LOVE the taste of the Activia probiotic yogurt and it gives me the healthy bacteria I need.

    Activia is a Danone product and there is a website. You should check it out (I would give it to you, but now allowed, use search engine).

    Not sure if this is the right place, I'm in my early teens and am looking to lose weight (been ticked off for already posting my age and also, I know this is not the weightloss board) and am wondering if this is acceptable what I have ate today.

    Morning:-

    Three Weetabix with Banana slicing for breakfast. Glass of Orange.
    Apple with Water.

    Afternoon:-

    Had a Chicken Sandwich. This is why I'm worrying, it was 500 calories!
    Had a banana as well an hour after lunch.

    Snack:-

    Another apple.

    Dinner:- (this is where I'm mainly worried)!

    Think I had around three potatoes (had bout 7 or 8 small halfs etc, so around three large sized potatoes) and quite alot of scampi (yes, I know my working out isn't great), around ten small circle pieces. From the box they seem quite fatty. Had a low-fat yoghurt afterwards.

    This is all I will eat tonight. Can anyone give suggestions (basically, if all is well, I will have the same sort of layout as I have had today in future dates. I have the same breakfast every day, would cut down on that if necessary and always have sandwiches at lunch time) if this is too much for my age? I'll give you a clue, low teens, and has a four in it

    So I'm a little bored and like reading all these diff menus, and so Im going to post what I had today (even though I think it was a little carb heavy!)

    B: Cinnamon raisin bagel with trans fat free marg
    green tea
    yogurt
    1 c. watermelon

    L: Turkey sandwich on whole grain bread
    green apple
    flavoured water (0 cals)

    S: 1/2 c. cottage cheese (1%)
    10 cherries
    1 yogurt-granola bar

    D: 100 g. ww pasta
    6 frozen meatballs
    1/2 c. tomato sauce

    S: rice krispie quare (pckgd)
    water

    girlygirl, i noticed u said u had a bagel with fat free margrine? where'd u find that! i have never atcually allowed myself butter in a long time. i never even knew there was such a thing..ill be darned,,lol o, and flavored water? GREAT STUFF! my friends think its discusting but i think its the greatest invention on earth. lol

    k me today

    breakfast: wholewheat bagel with low fat cream cheese (omg..sumthing EITHER than raisin bran lol) and orange juice

    Snacks:
    Pear
    Nature valley bar

    Lunch:
    Whole wheat bagel with once again, low fat cream cheese..lol (our bread was frozen and i needed to make my lunch for school ina hurry.lol)
    Orange juice box..pure usual. lol
    All bran Bar

    Supper:
    leftover stirfry and rice AGAIN haha with skim milk.

    i also had like 3 diet cokes and water in between.

    and for a snack tonite? o who knows...yogurt maybe?

    hi sammy, if me and, jess.. know eachother..LOL i dont know ask her.

    i got myself a beautiful water bottle today..its neon blue showing ml and, oz on the side..the water stays nice and, fresh.. and, the look is very freshy..LOL.. now me on style ..its a very hard plastic type, very expensive..goes good with my car aswell..isnt that exciting??

    Okay, here's what i ate

    Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs, and 1 oatmeal toast, 2 cups of coffee.

    Snack: Watermelon, and yogurt/glass of fruit and veggie juice with a serving of perfect green food, cal mag, fish oil.

    Lunch: WHey protein shake and tabelspoon of flax

    Dinner: 2 pieces of pizza with spinach, tomatoe, chicken, and red peppers on it, SOOOO GOOD!LOL Oh, made of wheat flour(I know losec, lol).

    Right now, i'm eating popcorn with ONLY garlic salt and I think I'm going to have pineapples, strawberries, and prolly cottage cheese. If not, I'll edit! I've been going to bed later, but I think I'm going to take some valerian root because i hate when i get into the habit of doing that. It's just so peaceful when the little one is OUT for the night which gives me a few hours after she sleeps to do things without being distracted, LOL.

    No Sammy, lol, Losec and I don't know each other. I'm glad to be part of humor though, lol.
    Oh, and I also forgot to mention that I had 1/3 of a hershey chocolate bar.

    My breakfast usually consists of about 1.5 cups of cereal, 1/2 cup cottage cheese (lf) and fruit (banana or apple or something) but this morning it was a little different b/c I felt like I was going crazy on the carbs lately.
    Breakfast: Banana and apple cut up in lowfat cottage cheese
    Lunch: Falafel wrap from whole foods - flour tortilla, lettuce, carrots, tzatiki yogurt sauce, 3 falafel balls (made out of garbanzo beans) - is this healthy?
    Snack: orange, 6 mentos (10cals each), baby carrots with salsa, soy crisps (80 calories worth)
    Dinner: Chopped chicken salad with nonfat honey mustard dressing (lettuce, olives, tomatoes, basil and chicken)
    Dessert: up in the air
    Thoughts? Advice?

    ahhhhh LOLLLL 'passer' means off style..not trendy..LOLLL get it. I think wheat is not a friendly food those are my beliefs... i just feel like im eating angel food... this diet changed my whole personality around im sooo nice LOLLL

    Not trendy? Passer? Hmmm, I guess that's an ahh... canadian thing? And getting a veggie burger is better than getting a whopper! My friend ordered a whopper and fries.
