Post Are there any appetite suppressants other than water?

I think that if I could suppress my appetite it would be a lot easier for me to lose weight, but I don't know what to do or take. I've heard that water makes you full and does the job but I hate drinking water because it has no flavor. Do you know of any pills or something else that will work because I can't stop snacking and over-eating. When I have dinner or lunch or something and it tastes good, I will have seconds, even if I am full. Lately, I have been doing this less, however, I think I need some extra help. If someone could please name some appetite suppressants, I would really appreciate it. I am 5'4 and 190 pounds,I don't look that heavy though. I am supposed to be around 130 pounds for my height. The only other thing I could think of doing to get in shape is hiring a personal trainer, but I am not rich so I can't afford one.

    hi,

first i wanna say im in the same boat right now. i am 5'5 and 180, can you say wide load???

anyway, protein is a natural appetite killer, but the other thing i wanted to add is that you can sub this 4 water. you still need water. however, instead, you may drink decaff iced tea with lemon or any of the crystal lite products. i hate water too.

Thank you both for your suggestions! Andrea, I thougt that was kinda funny that you hate water too, I thought I was the only person that had a problem with drinking it:-) I know I still need it though. I can stand to drink some of it but just not a lot of it, especially all at once like that 6-8 glasses a day folks recommend.

I have lost my weight not drinking the enormous amounts of water some people advocate. I understand water is suppose to be good for you and I've heard all the praises for it, but drinking the huge amounts some people do, dont seem to make any sense.

What is better than just drinking enormous amounts of water is to replace the foods you eat with foods that contain a lot of water, like fresh fruits and veggies. Make sure 70 percent of the foods you eat are water content! The water in fresh fruit juice counts too.
I hate water too, I make fresh orange juice then add water to make it thinner and I add sweeteners to make it sweeter. Also i drink a lot of green tea with sweetener.

Typically I do not suggest ANY appetite suppressant, however, I have actually found one that does not make me sick to my stomach or is overpowering. I have tried them all...looking for one that meets a happy medium.

I have been taking trim spa. I've been pleasantly suprised. You can search on the internet..but I bought mine from Vitamin World. This has a decent balance of ingredients that do not throw your body out of whack. Not sure what it is...but I also am alot thirstier when taking this supplement too. AND I HATE WATER! I drink water and crystal light all day long.

hope this is helpful to you ;-)

Okay, try Flaxseed Oil. You can get it at Costco, Sam's Club, WalMart, GNC or a real Healthfood store.

Try drinking your water through a straw. You may be able to get more down this way. Add a little lime or lemon juice. I don't use any of those diet drinks, i.e. Crystal Light. I gave 'em all up a few years ago. Too many chemicals.

I was told that a slice of lemon(only 2 calories) is a good appiteate suppresant. I haven't tried it yet though.

To vjc715, CydiaDH2002, and cutenbrat, thanks guys for all of your suggestions. I will try them and see if they work for me!

P.S. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who gets bugged by drinking water

    Hello everyone,

I used to get bugged out about drinking all that water too...and it did kill my appetite. I had to start putting lemon juice in mine...but I eventually got used to it. And the more weight I lost the less water i drank. I am drinking about 64 oz a day now. I was drinking 120 oz a day. I buy those water bottles from Walmart and just keep them filled up in my fridge. It helped me doing it like that.
