| Laminaria extract/Nature's Way
Has anyone out there tried or heard about Laminaria extract from Nature's Way? I just ordered it and then came across a post from a couple of years ago that distressed me. Not only did they say the product didn't work but they were also unable to get their money back despite the product's money-back guarentee. Any info/advice would be appreciated.

Does it work? How long have you been using it? What have you heard about it and where did you buy yours?
Thanks,
jnj

The Nature's Way Laminaria Extract does work. I had tried normal Kelp but had no luck then I bought the Nature's Way Laminaria Extract and lost 100 pounds in just over 3 months, I have recommended it to a lot of people who have also had similar results. I would say try it, I did and it changed my life.

I haven't heard of this as a weightloss product. How is it supposed to work? The only time I've heard of Laminaria was in connection with some surgery I had years ago. The doctor used Laminaria to dilate my cervix. It stuck in my head because I thought it was so freaky that he was using seaweed.

HI. I wrote the original message on this board. I used the Laminara for almost a month and didn't lose a single pound. I started using Phentermine (the still legal half of Phen-Fen) and it is REALLY working! I have had trouble sleeping but for me it's a fair trade. I've lost 8 pounds in 2 1/2 weeks. I actually only have 2-3 more pounds that I want to lose. So it even works with people that are only 10-15 pounds over weight. I bought it from an internet pharmacy.

(Yes, I got suckered into using it back before we knew the dangers. Luckily, I didn't take it long enough to do damage) |

Yikes. I definitely can't do the ephedra or caffeine. It gives me terrible headaches and palpitations. The phentermine doesn't. I still think the phentermine was the best $100 I ever spent.

The laminaria being used for weight loss is the same as was (formerly) used to help induce labor--this use has dimished greatly as the laminaria was found to be of little use and much risk.
Taken orally, it operates as a filler--it is rich in algin, a thickener. I suppose this might make some folks feel fuller, but it seems unlikely to help weight loss very much.

mt.adams I was just wondering if you continued using Laminaria Extract and if so how did you get on. I have been on it for nearly three weeks now and have lost 14lbs as well as a couple of inches from my chest, stomach, waist and thighs. Would be grateful for your feed back.
