what are the effects of taking kelp tablets?
i am not too sure and would like to know from people who do know.

they are a waste of money, just another vitamin store ripoff. It's like eating salad tablets instead of salad...
If one wants to eat seaweed, it's available in many Oriental markets and makes a nice addition to soups.

I agree with Lenin on this. I would eat the seaweed salad they have in Japanese restaurants. The stuff is awesome with a sesame dressing. Also Nori that goes around sushi rolls are great..Lisa

Kelp does contain Iodine which is needed by the thyroid.Since your trying to boost it you also might want to try L-Tyrosine on an empty stomach.Iodine and Tyrosine combine to help produce thyroxine T-4. harry !

Kelp does work. It is not a ripoff. Do not take it if you are on thyroid medicine or if you have an overactive thyroid in general.

i do not take thyroid medicine....so obviously you have taken kelp?or know of someone for whom it worked? what convinced you?
p.s i am indeed still taken my daily kelp supplement
