Post is Grape juice is the best option to mix with protein shakes?

I heard a few years ago when i started to workout that grape juice was the best to mix your protein shake with right after a workout because it gets absorbed fastest by the body...but im not positive on that (or is that for creatine)?

I'm quite sure it applies to creatine. Grape juice contains some amount of carbohydrates. Mixing creatine with juice is supposed to mimic the effect of products such as Celltech, - improve the creatine absorption.

I've never heard about mixing protein shakes with grape juice .... if that was the case, why aren't any manufacturers making "Grape juice protein shakes" ?

    Anyways ... just my 0.02$

    mmmm...chocolate and grape juice drink.
    or not =)

it would be a decent way to get some simple carbs, but how you would handle the taste is beyond me. Although i suppose there are some berry flavoured shakes, arent there??....

Sure there are some berry shakes, like Met-RX berry blast for example, which actually tastes really good.

But chocolate and grape can't taste good when mixed .... :

It probably sucks for taste, but I think it could be done. I doubt it will help with Protein synthesis or anything.
