Brown vs White eggs
Today I was told by a farmer that brown eggs are better than white eggs. That healthy chickens produce brown eggs, and white ones are an idication of an unhealthy chicken. I am suprised to have not heard this earlier. Does anybody have any further information on this?

That farmer was pulling your leg. I buy my eggs at a local farmer's market. My local chicken-farmer says that there is no internal difference between brown eggs and white. They are produced by two different varieties of chickens. Chickens don't produce brown eggs when they're healthy and white eggs when they're tired or sick. The nutrition of an egg has to do with what the chicken is fed, not on what color the shell is.

Rheanna is right. I eat both brown and white eggs all the time with no problem. He must of been kidding or has been given the wrong information. :)
