It depends on where you live. In California skim milk is the same as fat free, and this milk can contain up to 0.5 grams of fat per a serving and still be labeled as "Fat Free". We also have 1% fat milk, which is labeled as "low fat milk" and 2% fat milk which is labeled as "reduced fat milk". I would imagine that this information is the same for rest of the U.S. too, but I'm not sure.
