    Abdominal bloating and difficulty breathing

Hi everyone. Does anyone know what can cause a feeling of fullness very quickly after eating a small amount of food? Sometimes I even have the feeling before eating. My stomach will bloat up and get really hard and uncomfortable and feel like it's pushing into my lungs which makes breathing uncomfortable. It's been going on and off for a year but it's getting progressively worse. I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia 2 years ago but wasn't recommended for any treatment. Could that be the problem or what could be going on. Not really wanting to go to the doctor right now but I am going to call and try to do a teladoc appointment but just looking for anyone else's experience. Sometimes I feel fine but sometimes it feels like i ate five plates of food when maybe I've only eaten five bites.

Yes, hiatal hernia can cause the symptoms you're having.

What are you eating in general? Some foods can cause way more gas than others.

Have you been checked for h. Pylori?

I would push your doc for further testing.

I don't have the best diet I admit. I need to.improve on that. I haven't seen a GI specialist in a while and with the virus I haven't really wanted to go to a doctor's office. They found the hernia during an endoscopy. Do you think they would have to do another endoscopy to see if it's gotten larger?

Since you're having symptoms of continuing discomfort and bloating, I would ask to have testing of some kind.
A barium swallow might be an option before an upper endoscopy, because you're having symptoms while sitting and standing.
