Has anyone had this? Sore throat caused by combination of virus and acid reflux

I went to the doctor today and frankly, don't trust him with his diagnosis. I wanted to find out if anyone has had this.

I kissed a girl 3 months ago. Have a sore throat that hasn't gone away since.

I went to an ENT and he told me the wackiest thing. He said that the combination of the virus and acid reflux I am having is causing my throat to be sore. He said the virus was a catalyst for this disorder. I don't remember what he called it.

Anyone heard of this? He told me to take prilosec.

I am not quite sure of about the connection between your sore throat and your kiss......but I am here to say that my throat is feeling awful from my acid reflux. Good luck!

Do you have any other symptoms with the acid reflux? Like burning? How was your doctor able to diagnose this? How long have you had the sore throat? Has it gotten better over time?
