Cheese, Ice Cream & Milk
Why is it that cheese never bothers my stomach, but milk & ice cream make me bloat like a balloon? ;)

And how do you do with yogurt?

People have differing degrees of lactose intolerance. I know some lactose intolerants do fine with yogurt because much of the lactose is transformed in the fermentation process. Something similar may be going on with cheese, though I don't know for sure. But milk and ice cream have all the lactose.

It is not strange at all -- you seem to be lactose intolerant-- lactose is the sugar contained in milk/ dairy products.
Try drinking lactose reduced milk or take a lactaid pill that helps digest milk sugar.

Your body only uses glucose for energy and for all organs to operate and any type of sugar weather it is honey, fruitose, lactose, dextose, carbs and even protein has to be converted to glucose to fuel your body.

Re: Cheese, Ice Cream & Milk
Thats weird... I can eat a gallon of ice cream and drink a gallon of milk with no problem.. Yogurt is no problem. Cheese and butter is a definite story.

I use to eat pizzas up to college just fine but now i can only stomach one slice and then I'm paying for it later... And anything that is cooked in butter (especially seafood) will make me nauseaus (sp?) after a few bites.
