trapped wind

apart my other digestive problems recently i've got one more.
i'm not sure but i think it's air in my stomach. it always starts in the morning, usually after a few sips of water. if i don't have a proper burp right after, i start getting this feeling as if baloon is expanding in my stomach and it get's so bad it feels like it would burst. i feel this horrible pressure in my chest for the rest of the day, i think it even goes to my forehead and eyes, i don't feel hungry, but if i eat i don't feel that i've eaten and no matter how hard i try to burp it won't come up. so i'm not 100% sure it's air, but it feels like that.
i've tried wind-eze (simeticone), charcoal, peppermint, teas, fizzy drinks and other stuff, taking probiotics too, but nothing helped. and it's always either for the whole day, or doesn't happen at all (during a day).
any ideas what it could be? it's driving me crazy i can't do nothing through the day when i feel as if something's gonna explode inside me!
any help will be appreciated.

Re: trapped wind

I have the exact same thing! If I get it, it stays with me all day long and like you say, I can feel it in my eyes and chest, like a pressure. Usually it is gone by the next morning but it makes for a miserable day. If you find anything that works to get rid of this, please let me know. Thanks

Re: trapped wind

I have this same problem. I just saw a specialist who said it's being caused by a separation of my central, vertical abdominal muscles (left-over from pregnancy), with a possible hernia in this gap. This seems like a reasonable explanation in my case, but I'm planning to do some reading to get more information on this possibility. I don't know if it applies to you or not, but it's something to consider.

Re: trapped wind

do this when your alone it can be slightly embarassing massage you abdomen epecially in the areas of most pain as there likely to be were the air is trapped and place something warm on it, rub gently and you will soon feel the need to pass gas when it comes let it go embarrasing but really works
