    Post acidophilus (liquid or capsule)?

i just got over taking a weeks worth of antibiotics and from what i heard it takes away the good bacteria in in your digestive system, but can this cause for the cramping?

also, is a liquid or capsule form of acidophilus better to take?

one more question: has anybody continued smoking after gb removal? if so, any problems or cramps?

Hi again wojnar. I didn't know anything about liquid acidophlus, so I just take the capsules.

Yeah, I have to admit to another bad habit which doesn't help my IBS. I am a smoker, and continued to do so after GB surgery. Whether or not it caused increased cramps, etc., I really can't tell because with IBS, cramps, diarrhea, etc. are all just part of the package.

And before anyone writes to tell me how bad smoking is for your health, I already know that. I'm working on quitting but just am not at the right frame of mind yet to give it up.

    Good luck to you,
    Katie G

Yes, it can cause cramping. I have never heard of liquid Acidophilus myself, just the caps, but if you want a more liquid form of it, then just go out and buy some live yogurt, the same is in that as is in the caps.
