Post Gas trouble while travelling ( even short distance)

My father is 66. He is healthy man. But when he travels in car/bus/train/plane he starts feeling discomfort. He compalins about stomach gas. He feels weekness in his legs and also feels like womiting but never actually does. Once he starts walking in open air for some time , he gets to normal.
We did his full heart check up ( ecg/stress test/eniography) nothing is found.
Even if I take him to shopping center which is just 4-5 kms from my home, he has the same trouble.
Please advise ....

Thanks a lot,

It seems your father may be experiencing a symptom related to anxiety. Many people with anxiety disorders complain about feeling gassy when they are in unfamiliar circumstances.

You may want to check on the Bowel Disorder board. His symptoms sound like a part of anxiety but also IBS - Irritable Bowel Syndrom. I can relate to him. I've suffered from anxiety and last year diagnosed with IBS. I've gotten better over the past few months but every time I was to go somewhere alone and I'd be driving, I would have the same symptoms you described. Good luck.
