    Unhappy White Coated Tongue
    Does anyone know what causes a creamy white (and sometimes yellowish) coated tongue. This is only on the tongue, not sore and doesn't bleed. I sometimes feel a burning sensation. The stuff smells horrible causing bad breath. It tastes bad too.
    Do you think this is a form of oral thrush or some other bacteria. I do use cortisone inhalers for asthma. I get this periodically and can't tell if the smell and taste is from the tongue or GERD. Any ideas?

    I'm not positive but I believe that I have seen others here respond that it could be a yeast infection. Might want to trying looking that up to see if you come up with anything.
