burning after drinking

I have been taking omeprazole ( 20 mg ) for several years now because my doctor believes i have a reflux disorder. from time to time and more often now is the symptom i get after drinking alchohol or warm drinks such as tea or coffee. after swallowing the fluid, i exprience a short lived stinging / burning just below the rib cage where the eosphogus joins the stomach.

does anyone have similar problems or is this common of this condition? any advice or help much appreciated

Re: burning after drinking

It sounds like your stomach acid is damaging some of the tissure cells at the bottom of your esophagus??
