Esophugus Spams????

Hello all..Looking to hear from people who has these spasms. When do you have them? What do they feel like? Are you taking meds and still having them? Dr. says that is what I am having. I have taken Nexium for over a year and it has not stopped them. I have around 3 times a month. Always in a row(consec. days) and always first thing in the morning (6-8). I never can get to a Dr. before the pain stops. It is a burning that comes on gradually and seems to move up to my neck and shoulders. If I sit down and relax, it will be gone within 5 to 10 minutes. I had electrocardiogram and stress test 6 years ago showing nothing. Ive wore holters that shows PVC and PAC's thats it. I had an scope ran and it showed slight hietal hernia and irrated esophugus. Due to the tests the Dr. feels the pain is related to GERD. I'm scheduled to see a Gastroenologist this week. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I am so concerned it could be heart related and not GERD.
Thanks...Letreze

Re: Esophugus Spams????

Letreze,

It sound like spasms that are caused by a lack of magnesium in your diet and acid reflux.

I suggest you read some of the Sticky Thread at the top of this page --- "GERD Sufferers -- I feel good let me tell you why" started by blupumkin. He had a hiatal hernia and was treated for 9 years -- and was cured with magnesium and taking digestive enzymes.

I wish you well---Harry
