Question Upper Left Abdominal pain/swelling

About 5 weeks ago I noticed a large swelling in my upper left abdominal area, initally there was no pain. About week after I noticed the swelling I had come home from shopping, thought I would grab some lunch - about an hours late it was like some-one was putting a knife through my stomach area. I went on to develop symptoms of heart-burn/gasritis- seems to come and go over the past 5 weeks..
Over the past few weeks I have also has swollen lymph glands, fever - they have seemed to settle currently.
The swelling itself (about the size of a closed fist) usually does not worry me although I feel abdominal pressure beneath it (like my stomach is bloated) and pain.
Although last night the swelling was tender and I felt like I had a "stitch" in it all day
I had my gall bladdder out 5 yeas ago now lost 14 kilos in 14 days after the Operation-they never worked out what went wrong but a specialist put me i hospital after numerous negative Cat_Scans and decided to treat me with an anti-biotic.
So far I have had an upper abdominal ultra-sound that came back normal except for bile-duct 9mm dilated.
There has been suggestions of spleen, ulcer, hernia??? obviously no-one has any ideas.
I admit I am worried things don't seem to be getting any better.
Any thoughts/Advice would be appreciated

Re: Upper Left Abdominal pain/swelling

The pain you describe is just like mine. I've been tested for mono, but it was negative. I go back to the doctor on the 16th, and will suggest an abdominal CT scan. My abdominal pain is subsiding a good deal, but it's still there. My doctor put me on 1 20 MG Pepcid AC a day as a trial. Not sure if it it is causing the pain to subside, but will hopefully find out. I have tried DanActive Immunity because the spleen swelling concerns me. I have swollen lymph glands in my neck but no fever at all. I have a little bit of post-nasal drip.

I hope you find some answers. If you can, keep me posted as to what is going on with you.
