Unhappy Constant heartburn after GB surgery...

Hi. I have posted on this board before mainly about my horrid ordeal with an infected gallbladder, and the terrible post surgery symptoms, (surgery was June of 2007) but now, after 8 months I am finally able to eat sensible foods, and live without pain. The thing is though, I have constant heartburn whether I eat or not. It is so irritating and almost 24/7. I have tried everything over the counter and some prescription meds which are really the same as the over the counter stuff. I had a scope done back in August and everything was ok. I cannot take Prilosec OTC because I occassionally take diazipam, (valium) and there is a drug interaction. So, does anyone else have any ideas?

I hardly ever eat foods that are known to cause heartburn and cannot drink alcohol since the GB surgery.

Thanks so much for any input! Sophie
