Upper abdominal bloat, can't pass gas?!

This started 2 weeks ago w/an acute "attack." After I ate (steak & salad), got very bloated & had diarrhea. Since then, I've had occasional bouts of upper ab bloating, loose stools this whole time & rarely passing gas. This is uncommon for me as I'm usually a gassy person & have no troubles passing it. I am belching but rarely anything from the other end Went to Dr. She prescribed Prilosec & a pro biotic. Started them today. Also, Maalox seemed to help, like it broke up the gas & I was able to pass it. I've not really had pain, just very uncomfortable. I'm also now having a muscle twitch for 4 days to the left of my belly button. What the heck?! I mentioned this to Dr but it wasn't addressed. I'm 41, female, overweight, losing weight since June eating a low carb diet (50 carbs or less/day). Have felt great til this mystery ailment started 2 weeks ago. Can't attribute it to foods. Waiting on H Pylori test results. Did have HIDA 8 yrs ago and GB functions at like 4% then. Met w/surgeon & he poked & prodded me & wasn't convinced it was GB & said he wasn't taking it out & to watch my diet! Said some ppl w/low function can be fine while others w/higher functioning GB can have problems. (Had tummy trouble back then, dx w/gastroenteritis). Was also dx w/same thing this past March that sent me to ER (ultrasound of kidneys, GB, liver, & ? showed nothing abnormal). UGH. Any of this sound familiar to anyone & what was your diagnosis? Thank-you!!
