Pain on left side of abdomen, now slight burn on right side also

I think this is stomach related, I am not entirely sure.

I have been plenty sick this year, with multiple infections. Last time I was sick I developed pain in my left side right below ribcage. I was on antibiotics and I figured it was because I was not tolerating them well. After meds, it sort of went away, I had a flare up once or twice, but it would go away. Almost 10 days back, I had a bad flare up at night, I could not sleep and the pain was awful. Pain was more in the middle of left side of abdomen Went to doc next day and she tested my urine positive for infection and put me on cipro for a week. The left middle side abdomen never ached again, but the place right below ribs still does and all the time. Its worse when I sit, when I walk or lie down its not as bad. The pain is not intolerable, but its constant burning achy pain all the time. Now I have developed it on right side too. I am going to follow up with my doc soon, but I feel she is out of depth here, she keeps referring it to calling it kidney infection. I have a slight diarrhea and i get quite gassy at night. But nothing relieves this pain, I have started taking painkillers every night to try and have pain free sleep. Any advice?
