Bppv

Just diagnosed yesterday with BPPV and prescribed Betahistine dihydrochloride. Does anyone know how long 1 tab *8 mg.) stays in your system? My GP told me to take 1 as needed and if this doesn't go away in a week, go back to see her. I wasn't given any procedures in her office. There's no wax build-up either. No wonder I've been slightly dizzy in the shower. Now this is like a fast merry-go-round! Very scary. TIA

Re: Bppv

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) - I have this also. No matter what I was prescribed, it didn't go away until I did these exercises. This site should explain how to get rid of it. Mine stayed gone for a few years, resurfaced. I did the exercises again and it went away again. It's terrible!

Re: Bppv

Thanks so much for replying! I forgot to come back here to post that my ENT got rid of it by pushing me to the exam table to the right, back up again and the same to the left. I am soooo relieved! If yours returns, please see an ENT. Have a great day!
