Hi everyone looking for some advice here

Most of my life I have been very healthy. But two years ago I was in a minor car accident where I was hit from behind. I hit my head back on the head rest of my seat but other than that I was fine. Very minor and no damage to the car besides a few scratches.

I woke up the next morning very dizzy and nauseous with neck pain. Doctors told me it was a concussion and to rest. But things just kept getting worse. I felt like everything in my head clogged up. I got a sinus infection and was prescribed amoxicillin to clear it up. But this made dizziness much worse and one day I felt a sharp pain in my inner ear and it turned into vertigo.

Since then I have felt like something is clogged in my inner ear and nothing can drain right. It is like stuff is clogged in my head. It makes the dizziness worse. And now I have developed extreme anxiety. Things would get a little better then get worse again and it became a cycle. Since it was a cycle like that someone thought I might have lyme disease.

I found a doctor who diagnosed me with lyme (which I do think I had) but I don't think it was my main problem. It has been treated and I am still having this dizziness and pressure sensation that wraps around my head. I have to lay down to let things "drain" from my head and the dizziness gets a little better.

Anyone ever heard of anything like this? I've been to tons of doctors. I have had MRIs done, CT scans, blood tests, allergy tests etc. I did find out that I have the MTHFR genetic mutation. But taking methylated b12 makes my symptoms worse (headaches, anxiety)

    Any help/advice would be appreciated!!!

    Re: Dizziness

I was in a similar car mishap many years ago and would black out every time I tried to stand up. This eventually resulted in constant neck pain and vertigo that lasted for years. Have you seen an orthopedic doc (or good chiropractor) to make sure your neck is properly aligned? If it is an inner ear problem with crystals this can be determined by an ENT positioning your head in different ways.

My last suggestion is about Lyme Disease. If you had it and were not treated immediately or by a competent lyme specialist (an LLMD - lyme literate medical doctor) that could be the problem. Lyme is complicated and difficult to treat. It usually doesn't just "go away" so easily. The infection can easily travel to every system of the body. Neurological lyme is something you might want to research but the main thing is that you need a competent, lyme specialist to diagnose.

I hope you find the answers you need soon.
