dizziness after cold/sinus infection
Around christmas time i all of a sudden became dizzy and continued to have dizzy spells ((vertigo i think) while driving, moving suddenly, doing things that required to move my eyes from one direction to another quickly, etc.

The dr did blood work, everything was fine. She said my sinuses were really swollen and Gave me meclizine to "dry things out" she said it was only a bonus this medication also is for motion sickness.
Well after taking it 3x a day for 4 days i felt better. I was fine for about a week then i became sick with a horrible cold- that possibly turned into a sinus infection- i get them all the time. I started getting the dizzy spells again.

I am taking the meclizine hoping it will cure it again but this is getting old fast.
Ive never had this happen after colds before.

Any suggestions?

Re: dizziness after cold/sinus infection
I am not aware of meclizine being used to dry out sinuses, but Im not a doctor. Meclizine is used to prevent motion sickness and/or nausea. You need to see an ENT or neurologist.

Re: dizziness after cold/sinus infection
Well it is an antihistamine. So I think it makes sense it could dry up excess fluid. Especially since side effects are dry mouth, etc.
