Vertigo - scared its a brain tumour!!!

The past few months I've had slight dizziness but recently it's got worse, I feel like I'm on a swaying boat, the floors moving under me or I get a sudden jolt of dizziness makes me really scared.

I have on/off headaches, tmj, feel facial pressure, light sensitivity etc

I'm really scared I have a brain tumour!!

My dr gave me tablets to take 3 x a day for an inner ear imbalance.

Really scared.

Re: Vertigo - scared its a brain tumour!!!

Did this start after you took a boat, plane or long car ride? If it did, you might want to look up Mal de Debarquement Syndrome.

This sounds a bit like the episodes I've had. My issue is still undiagnosed but I did see a specialist for MdDS and he said my symptoms were pretty close, but felt I shoule pursue the blocked sinus I had at the time as a cause for my issue. I had sinus surgery and have still had 2 more attacks with clear sinus. So, I'm still looking for answers too.

If the medications you were given aren't working, you have to fight for treatment and be your own advocate. I know I've had to. I guess I was naive thinking doctors would be interested in taking me on and following through to get a diagnosis, but I've been searching for 9 years for an answer and only recently (in the past year) figured out just how hard I'm going to have to fight and how much I have to work to get anyone to listen and help me find an answer.
