Sounds like you are having a hard time! Have you had balance testing done with that ear? I have Meniere's...it took 2 yrs to get diagnosed...also of note I have very little hearing loss in the effected ear. Good luck!

I'm sorry you're going through this, sounds quite a lot like my story that I just posted in the forum. This really is hell, isn't it? You feel like you'll never get your life back. All I can say is, keep trying. Take whatever you have to, to get through the days, and in the meantime, insist on tests and keep searching for answers. I say that because the only thing keeping me going is knowing that I'm at least being pro-active and doing everything I can to try and fix this.

Thank you very much! Hopefully one day we will be back to normal. I've talked to many people that say it goes away but in the meantime we just have to live miserably I guess :/ get well soon!

If the doctors have given you no answers I would see if you can get the muscles in your neck and shoulders checked or try checking them yourself. Tension in these muscles are a common source of your symptoms and most often overlooked by doctors as the source of the problem. I went through 6 months of living like this with no diagnosis. Physical therapy is what helped me in the end. Now when these symptoms come on, I check myself by putting pressure on my shoulder and neck muscles. The symptoms worsen if this is the source and I go back to therapy. I hope you find relief. Good luck to you

Has your doctor prescribed any antibiotic for the ear fluid or tried to remove it in the office? That's usually the first thing they do for an inner ear infection caused from lab. Sounds like you need to see an ENT and start getting some real results. They can also do balance testing to see if you have developed a form of vertigo due to the fluid. Good Luck!

Yes I took antibiotics but it didn't help :/

I just started with my dizziness experience and can't even imagine having to deal with this for years! Its frightening. I try to stay positive but its hard and I end up crying every other day, because it is so limiting and answers are not there! Sometimes just having a definitive dx is all that is needed to help you get better! From my research it seems that physical therapy is the best avenue to take with this. I would try that and see if it starts helping. I know I have tmj and carry a lot of tension in my neck. At this point my deep neck muscles are involved and I feel they could be playing a big part in my dizziness so I agree that it is important not to overlook you necks role in your dizziness. Its my 3rd year dealing with dizzyness / foggy / hard to focux / call it what you want desease and I have yet to find a single thing that I can do to alter it or make it better/worse.

I just hope that one day we can find a cure for this. Mine started all of a sudden while I was watching TV and suddenly my vision felt very weird and off and the next day I started my life with this condition.

Wow I can't even imagine feeling like this for three years it's scary how something like this can take over your life and there's nothing anyone can do to help. I've been staying positive and here lately I've seem some good results. Positivity that it will go away is key. Stay strong. Good luck

Wow, 3 years? Have you been diagnosed at all with BPPV or Menieres? They are the most common causes of vertigo. An ENT would be the best person to talk too if you haven't already.

Are you able to work/drive After 2 years still get attacks and waiting to confirm if it is indeed Menieres I had no attacks in months then Nov I had 3
2 were just in front of TV sitting on sofa weird!
Takes 24 hours to recover can not look up or down without getting dizzy right after an attack. Very stressful!

I feel the same... Only a slight bit better. Apparent it is vestibular neuritis not labrynthtis

Did they say what caused it? Did you have a cold or ear infection before this started?
