Question baby girl that might have D/S

hi there im 33 weeks the docs say that i have a 50% chance that my baby can have D/S i did not have amnio to high of risk and we were not considering ending pregnacey anyway now docs say that there is a lot of amnio fluid around baby and that now they see fluid in her right lung so i have to have another ultra sound i have gone every two weeks for U/S for high risk pregnacey now they are going to keep an eye on babys lungs and if it gets worse then they will consider taking her early if anyone can help or give info as to where to look for info it will be helpfull thank you

We can't give any links out because it is against the board rules. The only thing I can suggest is to do an online search for information on DS on the internet and to talk to your doctor.

good luck and I will keep you in my prayers.

Let Me Just Fill You In On My Experience With This. I Hope It Helps. I Had A Regular Ultrasound At Five Months. One Month Later They Finally Informed Me That It Was Abnormal, I Saw Two Specialists Both Said The Same Thing. An Amnio Was Ofered With High Risks I Refused All Tests. They Saw That The Baby Had A High Level Of Amniotic Fluid Built Up Around Him. This Told Them That He Had A Defect Called Duo Denal Artesia "double Bubble", And They Also Saw Swelling In The Brain With Some Fluid. Also Maybe Some Defect With The Heart. Also Short Femurs. They Said 20-80 Percent Chance Of Down Syndrome.
We Prepared For All The Above And Prayed For Everything. When He Was Born He Looked Just Like My Other Son, A Baby.... I Cryed And Hugged Him Then They Took Him To The Nicu. Three Days Later They Performed Surgery To Fix His Defect For The Duo Denal Artesia. He Did Well And We Brought Him Home Three Weeks Later. He Was Just Sweet Newborn Who Slept And Ate Like Them All.!! A Cardioligist Informed Us That He Had A Large Vsd And We Had That Fixed Last Month. Fully Recovered He Is Six Months Old And Rolling "laughing Smiling"mostly And Now Today He Finally Said Dah Dah.
Thats The Other Thing You Will Always Feel So Special To Be The Mother Of Your Special Baby, Because You Know God Chose You To Be His Mother Because He Knew You Would Be The Best For Him No Matter What...... Ill Be Praying For You And Your Special Baby Growing In You! Also Look Online For Support Groups For Families With Down Syndrome Children
