    Question femur length

I will be 35 when I deliver so I had an ultrasound at 15 weeks and another one today at 19 weeks. The ultrasound at 15 weeks came back normal as well as my blood test so I was totally surprised when the Dr. told me today that my risk of having a downs child is now doubled because of the femur length. The Dr is trying to convince me to have an amnio to know for sure if my daughter has downs (I am terrified of the amnio because of the miscarriage risk). I tried to call the Dr's office to find out what the exact percentage is for downs and was told that no Dr's work on Friday afternoon at this office, (not my OB) my OB's office said I need to speak with the specialist so I do not have an exact number. Has anyone had a similiar situation??...
