clothing for adult down syndrome

Does anybody know of a company that makes clothing for adult Down Syndrome people? My brother is 4'9" and weighs 158, has a 24" inseam and a 40" waist, along with a 17" neck. It is impossible to find nice fitting clothing without having them specially made. I have found some womens capri pants fit but it would be nice to have mens. Any ideas?

Hello,
I can totally relate to your problem, my son is 4"11 and his weight is about 185 pounds, I have to buy pants in the misses petite section, I order them on-line from JC Penny, I get the cabin creek brand, You can get blue jeans, cords and even colors which come in a twill, we have tan, blue and black. They do have an eleastic waist but they also have pockets in the front which to me looks like it can be for a guy or a girl. Walmart dose carry them but a different brand, I tried there pants but the knees would get thin and get a hole in them after about 5 months, My son has fat-wide knees, the cabin creek is a better quality and they last and the price is around $20.00 or less for one pair of pants.
I hope this helps-Karen W.

Please don't make you brother wear women's clothes. My brother has a 44 inch waist, 24 inch inseam. The best pants I have found for him are Dockers with double pleating. I buy to fit his waist and then have the pants shortened. This adds $5 to the cost, but the quality is worth it. My brother is 50 years old, I have found that once he learns something, it is hard to get him to change. If your brother gets used to having to lowering his pants becaise they have elastic waists, he may get in trouble when going to a bathroom alone.
