    Re: Chemo drugs Effects

A lot depends upon the different kinds of chemo drugs, and the amount of chemo that is given, and individual reactions.

My wife has just had her fourth chemo treatment of about 6 hours. She was given Carboplatin and Taxol three times and Carboplatin, Taxol and Avastin one time. After about three days after infusion of chemo, she gets very tired. Constipation is an issue. This tiredness lasts about 5-7 days and then she is fine until the next chemo, which happens every three weeks.

We've read that some others have had some pretty uncomfortable experiences with fatigue, nerve pain, nausea, joint pain, etc. Some complain about lasting uncomfortable side effects. Others say that the nasty side effects were not long lasting.

We are currently waiting to see the side effects of my wife's fourth chemo treatment, which happened two days ago.
