    Doxycycline ?
    My GP has put me on doxy for up to 6 months because I tested + to CMV, chroinc EBV and ANA. I guess this is another way of saying Chrnic Fatigue and believe me that is one of the worst symptoms I have, out of 30! Anyhow she also gave me zantac for the heartburn/acid reflux caused by the drug. It states with doxy not to use antacids. Is Zantac considered an antacid?

    No, Zantac is not a antacid. I don't know how much you are taking, but I was on 100 mg of Doxycycline and I was also taking Nexium. If there's any doubt about it, just don't take them within two hours of each other.

    A WARNING ABOUT DOXYCYCLINE. There is a thread somewhere here that I posted on before about Doxycycline and the sun. DO NOT expose yourself to the sun (if you live somewhere hot) or tanning beds. With Doxy, there is a sun exposure warning, but they don't warn you enough. I had tingly feet and hands, if I touched them, they felt on fire... it was awful. Please be careful with this stuff!

    You need to avoid the sun with any of the cycline products. You burn very easily when taking them.
