| Sinus Issue Need help
I am trying to get some advice.
Starring on late February, I started getting sharp eye pain, and pressure. I let it go for a few weeks and finally went to an eye doctor, who said he did not see anything wrong and referred me to an eye specialist. The eye specialist said everything looks good, and not to worry. He advised me to see an ENT doctor or neurologist and gave me some eye drops.
I tried the drops for about a week which did not help. However then I started having small headaches, facial pressure, nose, ear, and teeth pressure as well. I finally made an appointment with a ENT doctor. he performed a nasal endoscopy and said my sinuses are stuffed but not clogged. I was prescribed a steroid (Methylprednisolone) and asked to come back for a follow up.
I went back for a follow up after finishing the medicine, and the doctor performed the nasal endoscopy again. He told me it looks a little better but not enough since my symptoms were still there. He decided to put me on an antibiotic (Levaquin) just in case I have something lingering. He also gave me a scrip for a CT scan of the sinuses.
I have been pretty healthy my entire life, and I have to say for the first time in my life i am scared. I have never had a CT before and everything I read says they give off a ton of radiation. I wanted to have an MRI of my entire head just in case it is something serious. Unfortunately the ENT doctor said he cannot order that, and only a Neurologist can. Should I still go for the CT scan?
The ENT doctor also told me if the CT scan comes back normal, it's most likely something in my environment (such as an allergic reaction) causing my problems. The only thing I can think of, is I moved to new apartment in November. Maybe there is some type of mold in here that I can't see or something in the air ducts? Not sure. If it is something in my new apartment why would it take 3 months for me to have problems? One other note to mention, I do not have the problems only at home. I have them at work, while i am out and other places as well.
I am not sure what to do from here, so any advice would be much appreciated
