    Throat inflammation

I'm having pain in my throat but it's not sore and I'm not having an issue swallowing. When I press around the side of my throat, directly to the left of my Adams apple, it gives me a shocking terrible pain like I've never felt. I'm 30y/o but I've been a pack a day smoker for over 10 years. If anyone has any idea of what it could be I would really appreciate your feedback.
    Thank you, Daniel

Sounds like an infected lymph node. Drinking hot tea or other warm drinks should help.
