    Paralyzed vocal cord

Does anyone else have this problem or know anything about it? One of my vocal cords has been paralyzed for about six months. I've had CT scan and multiple visits with my ENT doc, but so far no changes. It's so frustrating to try to carry on a conversation, either face to face, or on the phone. I'm starting to get really depressed, and scared that the other vocal cord will get stressed from overuse, and will also get paralyzed. From what I have read on line, the various methods of fixing this problem, have not worked over the long run.

If i'm posting in the wrong message board, please point me in the right direction.
Thanks for any advice or help anyone can offer.
