Just got tube in right ear but drops won't stay in!

Hello, could someone PLEASE tell me if it's normal for the ear drops to run back out after I drop them in??!!!! Last Wed I had a tube put in my right ear because my ENT said I had a nasty ear infection with fluid & inflammation in my middle ear behind the ear drum. I've NEVER had ear problems OR an ear infection in my life! This just came on suddenly! Anyway, after the procedure, he gave me steroid/antibiotic drops & I use them twice a day. I've noticed that when me or my hubby puts the drops in & I lightly tap that lil middle flap to help the drops roll in AND I lay on my side for 30 minutes! For awhile when I'm laying there, it feels ok, then I feel like the fluid from the drops has pooled & is just laying in my ear canal waiting for me to move my head so that it can run back out & sure enough, it does!!!! Ugghhhh is this normal?! I am soooo depressed & just want my hearing back! No pain, just hearing loss & slightly dizzy when I stand. I'm tired of this! This thing has been going on for 3 weeks! When will my hearing come back? I had the tube put in 5 days ago. Any thoughts????
