    Recurring PTA post tonsillectomy

    Hey guys,
3 years back I was suffering recurring PTA onset from Strep. With the help of ENT we got it under control and had a tonsillectomy at 23yo. Fast forward three years and the PTAs are back, same side as before. ENT can see some tonsil tissue that was left or has come back. (It was probably missed in the first surgery as I was still inflamed from the constant tonsillitis.) They're recommending another tonsillectomy. I cant find anything on the internet regarding a second tonsillectomy, Im just looking for information on recovery time or if the surgery would be similar to the first. (General an., long recovery, pain...)
