    Recurring Swollen Throat

I'm just wondering if anyone here has experienced this before I head over to my nearest walk-in clinic.

Within the last 3 months I've experienced a swollen throat 3 different times. There is no soreness, no redness, no coughing or itching, no problems breathing, no swollen neck, and no other symptoms.

The first was about mid November. I noticed my throat was a bit swollen one evening but figured I was catching a cold (a sore/swollen throat being my first symptom). But after 2-3 days it went away and I thought nothing of it. In this time I had used a bath salt from a different brand as well as had protected sex with a long time FWB.

The second time it flared up was about mid December. This one again, right around exam time for college so I figured a mix of stress and everything going around caught up with me. Just like last time however, it didn't progress any and was gone in 2-3 days.

This most recent time (and currently) it has again flared up. I recently again had protected sex as well as was exposed to a multitude of bugs working in a hospital as an MLA.

Does anyone have an idea of what this could be? What should be my next plan of action?

If you gargle with warm salt water and it goes away, it is not an infection -some sort of PND or dry throat instead.

I tried that the first time thinking it was an oncoming cold. But I didn't the second or this time and it is having the same healing speed.
