    Green Ear Discharge

    Hi all, (first post)

I had a cold for about a week early Jan, this was followed by yet another cold lasting over a week. The cold has now gone but I have green discharge coming from my ear, I spent a week on Clrythromycin and it didn't shift it, and now I'm towards the end of a weeks of Amoxicillin, yet the discharge is still coming, its at its worse in the morning when I have to clear it with a Q tip and there is a lot of it. There's no pain, just very irritating that its still coming out. I have a T tube so it's coming from the middle ear. Would anyone have any advice what I should do? Thanks

    Re: Green Ear Discharge

Definitely go back to your doctor. Are you seeing an ENT? Push for an ear swab test.

In the meantime you could use Polysporin for pink eye (it's also for ears). There is also one for ears, it's in an oil base which I didn't like (personal preference).

    Hope it gets resolved soon.
