Is it possible for more lymph nodes to be palpable on one side of neck?

A few years ago I felt a lump on back right side of my neck. Then I noticed a similar, maybe a little smaller lump, on around the same location on the back left side of my neck. I was suffering from a severe cold/flu a couple of weeks before I noticed the lumps. Got it checked and they turned out to be swollen sub centimeter lymph nodes and I got to know that they can swell when we get an infection. Afterwards they did become smaller but remained slightly palpable. Over the years I have noticed that when I get a cold/cough, sometimes they swell. Recently I noticed 3 lumps (including the old one, around the same location but the two new ones are slightly below the old one) on the back right side of my neck and one on the back left side of my neck (the same old one). All of these are about pea size or smaller actually. I also noticed a tiny lump behind my right earlobe, almost at the joint where earlobe and the bone behind the earlobe meet. I usually catch colds kind of easily. And I think the colds or maybe allergies are seasonal. Like, now I have a mild cold/allergy in which I have very slight throat and ear itching/scratching (I think this is mostly on right side. And the new lumps I felt are on right side) feeling but I don't feel it most of the day, only 1-2 times a day. And I might have slightly runny nose sometimes and may have to blow it 1-2 times a day and I feel like sneezing after I blow it, sometimes. So, is it the cold/allergy or is it common for lymph nodes to be touchable/palpable on one side than the other? Please help.
