Gromit In Ear Advice Please Imbalance Ongoing

I have posted on his forum before regarding approx 5 years of constant imbalance.
My ENT consultant has suggested to me i could have gromits fitted into my eardrum.
My question is has anybody had this procedure done, how was it and what symptoms did you have compared to mine, did the operation help.
My main symptom is imbalance/drunk feeling 24/7 in varying degress, slight pressure in ears(hardley noticeable),ringing in ears(hardly noticeable)slight pressure around nose area/behind eyes.

I've lived with this problem a long time,if this procedure works i would be very happy, the ENT doctor reckons it makes no difference for some people but she said my non specific imbalance symptoms can be caused by excess pressure.

Any advice would be great.
