Perplexing Ear problem
Recently, without any real reason, I.E. head trauma, cold, flying, scuba diving etc, my ears started popping randomly and without my prompting. They would pop repeatidly with my footsteps when I walk, or worse when I run or jump. IT is kind of a deep popping and my ears feel like they have a little liquid in them. I dont feel any pain nor is there any discharge. It is just this popping and now it seems to be getting worse. During sports activities I wasnt even able to run without my ears popping almost in sync with my foot steps. I did hit my head quite some time ago, but there was no ear problem then. Has anyone heard of this, and if so what is it, how is it treated, and what do I do??? Ask any questions so that I can help to get to the bottom of this.

Re: Perplexing Ear problem
The reason I just joined this Health Board is because I'm looking for a solution to the same problem! I don't think mine is as serious as yours but my ears, especially the left, pops non-stop when I'm running! It starts as soon as I get warmed up so I think it has to do with temperature and I guess pressure. It doesn't really hurt but it's really annoying. So, now you know you're not alone with this problem :) I hope someone has a solution!

Re: Perplexing Ear problem
I've joined this site for similar reasons. Over three months ago, some of my first symptoms was the popping in my ears--like in a plane, but without being in one. My first ENT said it was TMJ. However, the popping is truly in my ears, not in my ear joints. So...look up TMJ to see if you have more symptoms in line with that. Another thing to look up is Eustachian Tube Dysfunction. That is why my ears are popping. It could be due to allergies as well.

I've continued to have several other symptoms occurring since February, like vacuum-sensations and pressure to pain without relief. But remembering back to the beginning, my symptoms were like yours. Good luck to you.
