Post High Arch in Palate

Hello All! I am posting here cause I don't know where else to post. I am trying to find some information. My son was diagnosed with a high arch in his palate when he was 18 months old. He is still on baby food and we supplement him with Carnation Instant Breakfast. He also has a bad gag reflex still!! If he eats anything with somewhat of a texture, he will gag on it until he throws up. I have never heard of this high arch thing nor do I know how to treat it. We do have an appt with an ENT in the beginning of June. If anyone has had these problems...please help me. I am trying to fix this because I want my son to eat table food and take him to McDonalds!

Thank you so much!!
