    plugged ears, fluttering ear drums

    Hi,
Hoping someone can clue me in to what's going on with my ears as it's been very frustrating with doctor visits/tests/etc.

For the last 6 weeks, I've had plugged ears. It began with a severe earache and cheek pain ( only lasted a few hours), immediately followed by roaring in my ears. Then I had this fluttering of my eardrums that would make me very dizzy and nauseous. Had a 101 fever for a few days during the fluttering eardrums and pressure. Now I just have plugged/pressure feeling in ears and a feeling of something in my ears moving around/crackling. It took 4 weeks for my primary doctor to realize something was going on in my ears and sent me to an ENT. Any thoughts of what's happening and any remedies to make this go away. The worse part now is I get very dizzy when I drive with these plugged ears.

    Thanks so much,

    Susan

Does your eardrum move when you breath?
Does your voice sound loud and internal? Like you have a bucket on your head.
Is it better when you bend over, lie down or put you head between your legs?

fluttering eardrums and dizziness could be myoclonus of the middle ear tendons.

hank you...they do not flutter anymoe, only plugged. When they were fluttering, it was very sporadic, not coinciding with my breathing. It feels better when I sit up, worse when I lie completely flat or on my stomach. I apprecite your help
