    Unpredictable Dizziness and Nausea

    Hi:
When I was working in the backyard the other day, I felt a bit of light-headed. Afterwards, I went inside the house for lying down on the couch. However, despite having laid down for about fifteen minutes, the dizziness increased and also nausea came out of blue.

After three to four hours after a dinner, I felt more dizzy and needed to go to the bed early, around at 8 o'clock. Around 10 o'clock at night, I vomitted everything from the stomach due to intense nausea and dizziness.

The next day when I saw the family doctor, he told me that there is nothing to do with this, telling me that it causes 'inside the ear,' and only medication would help whenever I start to feel an awful dizzness and nausea. However, this diagnses makes me quite scared, because dizziness and nausea came so 'out of blue.'

Does any of you have this condition/diagnoses? If does, I would be truly appreciated it if you could share the experiece, ... along 'how to manage this, terrible dizziness due to 'inside the ear problem?'

    Thanks,

Good luck, I know how scary and hard it is to feel like that but you just need to see the right Dr. Im sure.

    Hi Helen:
Thanks for taking the time to help me regarding 'Dizziness and Nausea' problem. Afterwards, I kept thinking to re-read several times your VERY helpful response. It has been 'on and off' basis, not every often. However, due to 'unpredictable nature,' I'm very frightening as thinking if this would happen during driving or in the middle of doing some important things.

As to 'ENT,' I visited a couple of times for the past last years. Each occasion, he rx'ed med. for dizziness as saying that if dizziness would happen again, he'll send me a 'doctor' who is able to pin-point more in detail.

I'm truly interested in 'balance specialist.' Is that classified as 'ENT,' or more authority-ENT? Yes, I feel that I need more than ENT, because I got VERY sick the last time, that lasted for about two and half days. During that time, I was so miserable and first of all, I couldn't eat and practically only thing I did was staying in the bed until the nature took care of it, for that I feel very lucky.

Wonder whether you've been taking any med. for 'dizziness and nausea' problem? If you do, could you share the experience on that med. or any other strategy to combat 'dizziness and nausea' issue.

    Many thanks, ....
