    Frequent Upper Respitory Infections

I am a 26 year old male who smoked for 3 years about a pack a day. I quit smoking about 8 months ago. For the last 4 years I have gotten an upper respitory infection 2 per year which caused chest congestion and acute laryngitis. I just got another infection and this is the 3rd time this year. I consider myself to be of good health. I workout daily, eat healthy, take vitamins and don't smoke at all or drink too often. It is frustrating for me everytime I get this because I am a singer and it kills my voice usually. I have seasonal allergies for which I take flonase and claritin. The doctors for the past 4 years always tell me it's viral until I've had it for 3-4 weeks then prescribe me zithromax and that get's rid of it in 3-5 days. What is causing these frequent infections, is this common? Do I need to see a specialist because my current doctor and doctors I've seen don't seem to be worried about it.
