Have you tried saline irrigation using a SinusRinse bottle or neti pot?

You can buy either at any major drugstore chain for about $15. They are both designed to use saline (salt water that matches your body's normal salinity) to rinse mucus from the nose and sinuses.

For me the SinusRinse bottle works better because it gets more of the solution up into the sinuses and helps the mucus drain out a bit better.
