ear fullness only when lying down?

Does anyone know what the cause of ear fullness/some sharp pains only while lying down could be?

Seems like every night when I get ready for bed, I lay down and after a while my one ear will feel full, then the other, then it might go away for a bit, and then come back. The next morning when I wake up, it's gone... only to come back later that night once I lay down again. This has been going on for four days. When it gets full, I take a decongestant or nasal spray, it might help for a little bit, but then the fullness comes right back.

I also seem to wake up with a stuffy nose in one nostril, and throughout the day I can feel "something" in my throat when I swallow, like I have postnasal drip. I attribute it all to sinus or allergies, but I just find it so strange that the fullness only occurs when I get in bed.

I tried googling it, but couldn't find anyone else with the same problem
