hi I recently got diagnosed with tonsilitus and put on antibiotics I noticed a pus at the back of my throat on gum after eating something it has now left a hole in my gum I was just wondering is this right and will it heel itself as slightly worried?? thanks

My mom has these. They're like little pockets in her tonsils where bacteria forms. They call them tonsil stones. Usually when people get a lot of these is when they have their tonsils out. My mom usually picks the tonsil stones out with a q-tip (I know- gross), and her doctor said that's fine. They don't usually like to do tonsillectomies on adults.
