Question Abnormal Lymph nodes

Something did not feel right in my upper part of my neck for over a year. On 4/30/12 I had an ultrasound of my neck. My Dr called me in right after on 5/1. My findings...Multiple prominent lymph nodes in the submandibular region bilatererally, left greater than right. The largest measure 2.2 x 0.8, 2.0 x 1.2, 1.5 x 1.0 on left. Right largest 1.5 x 1.0, 1.8 x 0.8, 1.8 x 0.6. Most of the nodes lack formal fatty hilum. Representative nodes are amenable to percutaneous to fine needle or core biopsy.

Of course she ordered the biopsy, and also a ct scan. It is 6/10/12 and it has not been approved yet. I am on a county health plan, so things take longer. Can anyone here please give me some insight to what any of these findings could mean?

Thank you, Cindy
