Antibiotics and Tonselitis

First off I apologise if a similar thing has been posted in another thread but I am a little bit concerned at the moment.
So I got tonselitis on monday very suddenly no warning just woke up with a very sore throat muscle aches a fever and a headache. One side was swollen with a few white patches on it. The doctor prescribed me antibiotics one three times a day and ordered to stay in bed.
However it is now Friday and I am much much worse. Both sides are so swollen now and covered in white pus looking things. I also have ear ache and feel a little deaf?! Its impossible to eat anything and even drinking is difficult. Is it normal for it to get much worse on antibiotics or for it to take this long to show some improvement?
It is a bank holiday here in Ireland which means I wont get to see a regular doctor till Tuesday!
If anyone has any help or advice I would really appreciate it! Thanks
